SUBJECT: PASG Research
📢 Call for researchers: Join the PASG Research Committee
The Parental Alienation Study Group (PASG) has established a global Research Committee, chaired by Professor Ben Hine. We invite expressions of interest from researchers working on parental alienation, parental alienating behaviours, parent–child contact problems, family separation and closely related topics.
We want the committee to reflect the breadth of scholarship in this area. Researchers from all countries and regions, and from any disciplinary, theoretical, methodological or critical perspective, are welcome to express an interest.
The committee’s first task is to bring together, collate and synthesize the existing evidence, building on work already undertaken, including Jennifer Harman and colleagues’ 2022 review and the Parental Alienation Handbook produced by PASG. Together, members will consider what the evidence supports, where its gaps and disagreements lie, and which research questions should take priority. The longer-term aim is a coordinated global research agenda that PASG can support through collaboration, advocacy, researcher recruitment and dissemination.
Interested in joining?
Please e-mail Ben.Hine@uwl.ac.uk with a brief note covering:
• Your name and institution or affiliation
• Your current research interests and approach to the topic
• The research gap or unanswered question you think should be the field’s highest priority
Please share this announcement with colleagues and networks internationally. We are especially keen to reach researchers beyond PASG’s existing networks.
PASG will ask members of this committee to join our not-for-profit organization, which is free and easy to do. To register as a member, please go to https://www.pasg.info, then click on Membership tab and follow the instructions.
Thank you, kindly.
